Locking Phones with a Passcode

Overview

The Cisco Meraki MC can be locked with a user-configured passcode. This allows authorized users to protect their data with a secure passcode, and prevents unauthorized users from accessing the phone. This article walks through configuration of a passcode, as well as steps to reset a forgotten passcode.

Configuration

  1. Using the MC touchscreen, navigate to Settings > Passcode Lock
  2. Change the Require Passcode setting to "On"
  3. Enter a passcode and select "Enter" when finished

Locking and Unlocking the MC

To lock the MC, swipe down on the touchscreen. To unlock the MC, tap the touchscreen and enter the passcode that you've configured.
