Managing personal Voicemail Greetings

Table of contents

Each phone user with an MC phone at their desk can personalize his/her voicemail greeting. The user can easily manage multiple greetings, for example one regular and one for vacation, through the phone UI.

The personalized voicemail greeting can be managed through the phone's UI. The user can record a new greeting, activate a particular greeting if there are multiple greetings as well as delete any old greetings.

To record a new greeting, go to Settings > Voicemail Greetings.

  1. Click on the + on the top right to record a new greeting.
  2. Tap the Record button to record your greeting. The audio is recorded using the phone's microphone
  3. When done, click on the Stop to stop recording. Listen to the greeting using the Play button. To save the greeting, assign it a name and tap on Save.

The user can also manage the greetings under Settings > Voicemail Greetings.

  1. Tap on one of the greetings to get the options - Activate, Play, or Delete.
  2. Tap on Activate to set the greeting as your current active greeting. The currently active greeting shows a green check next to its name.
  3. Use the Play or Delete to either listen to the greeting again or discard it.

In case of only one recorded greeting, the "Activate" button is grayed out.
