Call Forwarding

Overview

MC phone users may occasionally be required to forward all calls are forwarded directly from their 4-6 digit extension or 10 digit phone number to another location. For instance if an MC user is beginning an extended period of leave, they can configure their phone to forward directly to a colleague. The MC call forwarding feature can be configured from within the MC phone user interface or the web portal which will be discussed in this article.

Configuration

MC Phone

  1. On an MC phone, Navigate to Settings > Call Forwarding.
  2. Tap the + button at the top right of the Call Forwarding Numbers screen.
  3. Enter the name and phone number that calls should be forwarded to, tap save and tap the back button.
  4. Your call forwarding rule will now be activated as denoted by the green tick icon to the left of the rule.
     

Web Portal

  1. Login to the MC Web Portal at https://mp.meraki.com/ssp/login after signing up via the settings page.
  2. Click on the 'Settings' link located at the top right side of the page.
  3. Click on the toggle to enable call forwarding. Clicking the + button will result in a new call forwarding destination.
  4. Enter a name and a phone number and ensure the Active checkbox is ticked before clicking save.
