Ordering Custom Calling Plans From IntelePeer

Overview

If a customer use case requires additional customization outside of the standard 1 DID per 1 MC situation, IntelePeer offers additional calling plans that can be purchased manually. There is more information about these packages on Intelepeer's website.

For these packages, you'll need access to your Intelepeer account information. Go to the Phones -> Phone numbers page in Dashboard after completing the steps in Service Provider Onboarding and Purchasing Phone Numbers, to find the information on the bottom left corner of the page.

 

Reserved Number

Reserved numbers are telephone numbers and toll free numbers which customers want to maintain control of, but do not associate with a user and will not be used for active calls. Intelepeer supports porting numbers that you currently own and holding them in reserve, as well as ordering numbers directly from Dashboard to be held in reserve.

  1. First, the customer should go to Dashboard and enroll in Intelepeer service with the steps outlined in Service Provider Onboarding and Purchasing Phone Numbers. 
  2. After the MSA has been signed, number porting of existing reserved numbers can be completed with the steps outlined in Porting Numbers to Intelepeer.
    • If the customer does not currently own any reserved numbers, and simply want to reserve numbers from Dashboard, feel free to continue to the next step.

The porting process must be complete before a number can be changed from Active to Reserved

  1. Fill out the Request for Reserved Phone Numbers sheet with which numbers you would like to be moved to an inactive status.
  2. Send an email to enterprisesupport@intelepeer.com with the customer's account details, manual order sheet, and the list of numbers you want held in reserve, stating that you would like for these numbers to be reserved numbers.
  3. On the next billing portal invoice, verify that your new invoice is correct.

Voice Services Extension Bundle

Built for businesses that use extensions heavily, IntelePeer’s Voice Services Extension Bundle provides users the flexibility to order as many PSTN connected DIDs as they require, and offer a cheaper option for phones that will only require extension calling. MC customers can set up an IVR menu to route to these extensions with the steps listed on Creating an IVR Menu.

  1. First, the customer should go to Dashboard and enroll in Intelepeer service with the steps outlined in Service Provider Onboarding and Purchasing Phone Numbers.
  2. Fill out the Request for Voice Services Users with Shared Numbers form with how many extensions you would like to support.
  3. After the MSA has been signed, send an email to enterprisesupport@intelepeer.com with the customer's Intelepeer account details and manual order sheet, stating that they would like to enroll in the Voice Services Extension Bundle.
  4. After purchase, make sure to follow this doc to correctly set which MCs will be connected to the PSTN and which will be extension-only.
  5. On the next billing portal invoice, verify that your new invoice is correct.

Toll Free Number

Customers can purchase toll free numbers directly from Intelepeer. 

  1. First, the customer should go to Dashboard and enroll in Intelepeer service with the steps outlined in Service Provider Onboarding and Purchasing Phone Numbers. 
  2. After the MSA has been signed, number porting of existing toll free numbers can be completed with the steps outlined in Porting Numbers to Intelepeer.
    • If the customer does not currently own toll free numbers, and simply want to buy them directly from Intelepeer, feel free to continue to the next step.
  3. After the MSA has been signed, send an email to enterprisesupport@intelepeer.com with the customer's Intelepeer account details, manual order sheet and the toll free code that they would like.

Vanity Number

Customers can purchase vanity numbers directly from Intelepeer. These are specially requested numbers that have a specific number pattern.

  1. First, the customer should go to Dashboard and enroll in Intelepeer service with the steps outlined in Service Provider Onboarding and Purchasing Phone Numbers. 
  2. After the MSA has been signed, send an email to enterprisesupport@intelepeer.com with the customer's Intelepeer account details and request for vanity number.
