LDAP authentication with Novell

Table of contents
No headers

When LDAP authentication is used with Novell eDirectory, the username used to logon to the Splash page must match a uid of a user object in eDirectory.

LDAP authentication will fail if:

  • the user object in the directory has a missing uid value.
  • the username entered does not match a uid value of the correct user object in the tree.
  • the same uid is found in multiple orgs in the directory tree, but each uid has a different password.
