Cisco Meraki US Government Region Cloud Support for Cloud-Managed IOS XE Switches
Overview
Cisco Meraki US Government Region supports eligible Cisco C9000 Series and MS390 switches, enabling customers to onboard and manage supported switches running IOS XE in the Cisco Meraki US Government region, which has a FedRAMP Class C (Moderate) ATO. Full support is available for configuration source: cloud and configuration source: device. See the currently supported platform families.

Supported software
IOS XE 17.18.4.1 is currently the latest recommended release available in the Meraki US Government Region cloud. Additional releases will be added as they are qualified for Meraki US Government Region Cloud.

Review the Known Limitations before production deployment.
When migrating a switch from the commercial Meraki Dashboard to Cisco Meraki US Government Region Cloud, a reload of the IOS XE switch is recommended before onboarding to help provide a smoother migration experience. Plan for the associated maintenance window and service interruption.
Known Limitations

Intelligent Packet Capture: Packet capture capabilities including Intelligent Packet Capture are not currently supported in Cisco Meraki US Government Region. Support is planned for a subsequent release.

Event Logging in Cloud Mode: Event Logs in Cloud Mode are supported only on IOS XE 17.18.4.1 and later. Switches running an earlier supported IOS XE version can still be onboarded to Meraki US Government Region - Cloud Mode; however, Event Logs will remain unavailable until the switch is upgraded to IOS XE 17.18.4.1.

Device mode: Firmware Upgrades not available at launch. Support is planned as a fast follow.
IOS XE 17.18.4.1 is the recommended release and the network default version for Cisco Meraki for US Government. Eligible switches running a lower version will be upgraded to the network default through the standard firmware upgrade process, which may require a maintenance window and switch reboot.
