Minimum Product Firmware Versions

Table of contents

Overview

Each Cisco Meraki product has a minimum firmware version that it can run which may not always match up with what the dashboard network is configured for. Therefore the node will run the minimum firmware it is capable of running, which may be higher than the network configured firmware. This article will list each currently supported MR, MS, and MX product and the minimum firmware they can run.

This article will not include the MV and MC products because none of them have a minimum product firmware version more recent than what is available in dashboard so they are not susceptible to same same conditions yet.

Note: Meraki recommends checking the Organization > Firmware Upgrades page to verify which firmware version your network is running, rather than referring to the available firmware messages that may be presented for each individual device. The Firmware Upgrades page is the best method to ensure you have the most recent build.
