A MAC address is an unique hardware address that is useful for identifying a device. Cisco Meraki MAC addresses can be found using several methods.

1. Physical inspection of device

2. Dashboard device page

3. Device local status page

1. Physical inspection of device

The MAC address can be found through physically locating the device information sticker on the device. An example of the information sticker on a MR16 access point is below.

2. Dashboard device page

The MAC address can also be found in the Dashboard if the device has been added successfully prior to it losing power. An example of the MAC address on a MR16 access point listed in Dashboard is below.

3. Device local status page

Finally, the MAC address can be found by accessing the device's local status page. The steps to access the local status page vary by device type and are listed below.

MR: Access the my.meraki.com page while connected to the associated access point's SSID. Click here for more information.

MS: Access the switch.meraki.com page while hardwired directly to a port on the associated MS. Click here for more information.

MX and Z: Access the wired.meraki.com page while connected to the associated MX's port. Use the management port if available, if not, use an available LAN port.
