Changing the Theme in the Meraki Dashboard

Overview

Cisco Meraki is introducing a new dark mode theme option for the Meraki Dashboard. This feature allows you to switch the Dashboard's visual theme to a darker color palette, which some users prefer to reduce eye strain and improve readability, especially in low-light conditions.

Changing the theme of the Meraki Dashboard

The theme setting is a user-specific preference, meaning your selection will persist across all of your sessions and devices, and every Meraki organization that you access. This setting does not affect the Dashboard view for any other users in your organization.

To enable or disable Dark Mode:

  1. Click the user profile icon located in the top right corner of the Meraki Dashboard. This icon typically looks like a person's silhouette.
  2. In the dropdown menu that appears, locate the Theme setting.
  3. Select one of the following options:
    • Light: This is the default Meraki Dashboard theme with a light background.
    • Dark: This option applies the new dark color palette to the Dashboard.
    • System theme: The Dashboard will automatically detect and apply the theme preference configured in your web browser. For guidance on configuring your system's theme preference, refer to the documentation for your web browser.

Once selected, the Dashboard's theme will update immediately.
