Systems Manager can be used to automatically track and audit cellular data usage across your devices, as well as assist with enforcing data limits through the use of dynamic security policies.
Installing and enabling the Cisco Meraki SM iOS app provides many additional features for enrolled iOS devices, including more accurate location tracking. While Systems Manager makes every effort to minimize the effect, using GPS location tracking services may result in slightly diminished battery life. If a device user feels as though their battery life is excessively compromised by the SM app, location services may be disabled
Systems Manager (SM) provides the ability to selectively wipe managed clients, which removes all managed apps and managed profiles installed via SM. The selectively wiped device is placed in "Quarantine," preventing it from receiving any profiles or apps until again authorized by a network admin.
The error message “NotNow” is seen when an action cannot be performed because the iOS device is locked with a passcode. These actions include pushing managed apps, installing profiles, and other actions. When this occurs the device will attempt to re-connect with the MDM server as soon as the device is unlocked in order to retry the action.
Lost Mode is a feature that Apple introduced with iOS 9.3 to utilize on supervised devices. This allows your Meraki Systems Manager dashboard to lock down and locate a lost or stolen iOS device.
