Cisco ISE Basic Authentication

Cisco ISE account keys provide a secure and centralized method to store and manage authentication credentials required for automation workflows that interact with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). By using Cisco ISE Basic Authentication account keys, administrators can efficiently manage credentials, enforce security policies, and simplify the integration with Cisco ISE.

Use Cisco ISE account keys with Cisco ISE workflow activities and Cisco ISE endpoint targets.

  1. From the left navigation menu, click Automation > Account Keys.
  2. Click New Account Key.
  3. From the Account Key Type drop-down list, select Cisco ISE Basic Authentication.
  4. Enter a unique display name for the account key in the Display Name field and provide a brief description in the Description field.
  5. In the Credentials area, specify the following:
    • Username – Enter the Cisco ISE username.
    • Password – Enter the password for the specified username.
  6. Click Save to save the account key.
