Update to Workflows Direct URL Structure

To enhance organization-specific navigation, the direct URL for Meraki Automation Workflows has been updated to include your organization ID.

  • Previous URL: https://n99.meraki.com/manage/automate/workflows

  • New URL: https://n99.meraki.com/o/<hashed org-id>/manage/automate/workflows

Users accessing workflows through the Meraki dashboard menu (Meraki dashboard > Automation menu) will experience no change.

If you have bookmarked the old Workflows URL, please note that your existing bookmarks will continue to function seamlessly due to built-in redirects. While no immediate action is required, we recommend updating any saved bookmarks to the new format for direct access.

Editing Enum Inputs in Sub-Workflows

You can now select existing enum input variables or add new ones to subworkflows while editing within the parent workflow. This update gives you better control over your subworkflow configurations.

New NetBox Adapter for IPAM/DCIM Integration

Workflows introduces a NetBox adapter that enables integration with NetBox, an open-source IP address management (IPAM) and data center infrastructure management (DCIM) platform. Use automation workflows to interact with NetBox resources such as devices, IP addresses, VLANs, circuits, sites, racks, and other IPAM/DCIM objects. Currently, the adapter supports Target with NetBox token-based credentials and provides a Generic NetBox API Request feature to help execute API calls. For more information about the Netbox adapter, see Target Types for the list of supported adapters in Workflows.

Note: NetBox Activities are being developed and will be released soon to enhance integration capabilities.

Workspace Updates for Simplified Navigation and Centralized Actions

The Workspace page has now been updated with four tabs—Workflows, Atomics, Recently Run, and Favorites . A new Actions dropdown menu provides easy access to Manage Categories, Add Category, Import Workflow, and Manage Git Repositories. Key management pages previously located under the Automation > Advanced menu are now accessible from the Workspace > Workflows tab > Actions menu, providing a more intuitive and streamlined navigation experience.

For more information, see Categories  , Git Repositories, and Import and Export a Workflow.

Enum Input Variable Enhancement

Users can now leave Enum input variables unselected during workflow execution. Previously, Enum fields required a selection. With this update, optional Enum fields can remain unset if no value is needed. For more information, see Enum Variable .

Editor Canvas Usability Improvements

The editor canvas now defaults to a compact view with "small" zoom and a collapsed properties drawer, creating a more focused workspace. The zoom out button is always visible enhancing usability across all supported browsers. For more information, see Workflow Editor.

Remote Targets and Account Keys Now Moved under Targets Page

The Targets page has been enhanced to include both the Remote Targets and Account Keys tabs. Previously, Remote Targets was under the Advanced page and Account Keys under the Automation menu. With this update, both features are now accessible from the Targets page for improved usability. For more information, see Remote Setup and Deployment and Account Keys.

Enhanced Workflows Assets Filtering

You can now toggle between viewing all assets or only the items you’ve created, such as activities, atomics, and workflows. This capability enhances asset management by allowing users to focus on items specific to their account. For more information, see Workflow Editor.

Activity Type Icons with Tooltips

New icons have been added to indicate the type of activity, including Atomic (system), Atomic, Workflow (system), Workflow, and plain activities. Hover over each icon to view a tooltip with more details about that activity type. This update makes it easier to identify and understand activities at a glance. For more details, see New Icons topic.

Bug Fixes and Minor Enhancements

This update also includes several bug fixes and minor improvements to enhance Workflows overall experience.
