What is an SFP Port?

SFP ports are a special port that allow you to devices either over fiber optic cable, or special direct access cables. More information about SFP Ports can be found here.

What is PoE?

PoE stands for Power over Ethernet, and allows your switch to provide power to devices connected to it. More information about PoE can be found here.

What is a Voice VLAN?

Voice VLANs are a common switchport coniguration that lets you use a separate VLAN for connected phones that support them. All GS110 series switches support Voice VLAN attributes on access ports. For proper identification, any device attemping to use the Voice VLAN must support LLDP (via the LLDP-MED feature) or CDP discovery protocols to properly setup a voice device on the voice VLAN.
