MT40 Energy Usage Report
Overview
The MT Energy Usage Report provides comprehensive monitoring and analytics for your MT40 sensors. The Reports section allows you to track alert frequency, identify top alert-generating sensors, monitor energy usage, and gain valuable insights into your device performance.
Accessing the Reports Dashboard

Navigate to Sensors > Reports from the main navigation menu.

The system defaults to showing data from the Last 2 hours (adjustable via the dropdown in the top-right corner).
Navigation and Filtering
The Reports Dashboard contains several tabs and filtering options:

Navigation Tabs:
- Energy usage (Beta) - Displays power consumption data
- Environmental - Shows environmental sensor data from other MT Sensors.

Filtering Options:

Alert profile dropdown - Filter data by specific alert profiles

Device tag dropdown - Filter data by device tags
-
Reset all button - Clear all applied filters

Environmental Alerts Overview Section
This section displays aggregated alert data from all MT sensors over time.

Total Alerts

Alert Counter: Displays the total number of alerts.

Trend Indicator: Shows percentage change from the previous period.

Statistical Summary: Shows the Average, High and Low values over the specified period.

Historical Comparison Chart:

Bar chart comparing current day (May 6) with a previous day (Apr 29)

X-axis shows time intervals
-
Y-axis shows alert count

Event log button in the top-right provides access to detailed alert history

CSV download button allows exporting the data
Top Sensors by Alert Count
This panel identifies which sensors are generating the most alerts:

Top Alert Types by Alert Count
This panel categorizes alerts by type:

Categories includes "Real power," "Apparent power," "Current," and "Frequency"
Aggregated Sensor Data
Total Energy Usage
This section provides energy consumption metrics from MT sensors:

Overall Summary:

Total usage: Total usage over the selected period

Statistical Summary: Average, High and Low usage over the selected period

Usage Chart: Bar chart showing energy consumption over time intervals

X-axis displays time periods

Y-axis shows usage in kWh

Energy Insights

Estimated Electricity Cost: Total estimated electricity cost calculated for the aggregated data. The cost factor can be adjusted under Network-wide>General.

Estimated GHG Emissions: Total estimated greenhouse emission calculated for the aggregated data. The emission factor can be adjusted under Network-wide>General.
Device and Tag Usage Analysis

Top Usage by Device

Using the Reports Dashboard Effectively
Monitoring Alert Patterns

Identify Problem Areas: Use the "Top sensors by alert count" panel to quickly identify which devices are experiencing issues most frequently.

Recognize Alert Types: The "Top alert types by alert count" panel helps you understand which specific metrics are triggering alerts.

Track Trends Over Time: The historical comparison chart allows you to see if alert frequency is increasing or decreasing.
Energy Management

Monitor Consumption: Track overall and device-specific energy usage to identify potential energy-saving opportunities.

Cost Analysis: View estimated electricity costs to understand the financial impact of your energy consumption.

Environmental Impact: Monitor estimated greenhouse gas emissions to track your environmental footprint.
Data Export
For further analysis, you can export data in CSV format using the CSV download buttons located in the top-right corner of most panels.
