Overview
This section highlights the features, benefits, and new capabilities of workflows.
Introduction
Cisco Workflows provides a no-to-low code approach for building automated workflows. These workflows can interact with various types of resources and systems. With workflows automation, you can leverage Cisco and third-party multi-domain systems, applications, databases, and network devices in your environment to create workflows.
-
Automate - Eliminate repetitive tasks that waste valuable time.
-
Investigate - Reduce time to investigate by automating data collection and incident generation.
-
Respond - Create automated responses that can combine multiple products into one action.
-
Integrate - Bring products and services together in new ways to multiply their effectiveness and address emerging threats.
Benefits
Workflows empowers you to:
-
Simplify and streamline common tasks across all IT domains.
-
Harness automation to decrease human error.
-
Investigate events with machine-like speed using pre-built and custom workflows.
-
Integrate Cisco and third-party systems to expand your network automation toolbox.
Developers can interact with the backend of the Workflows engine by using the Workflows API to retrieve information, manage objects, even execute workflows, and so on. For more information, refer to the Workflows API Guide on Cisco DevNet.
Note: Workflows is a Cisco innovation offered to our customers at no additional cost and is accessible through the Meraki Dashboard. You can create a Meraki account without any Meraki devices or licensing and access Workflows to build automations that connect and orchestrate tasks with external systems like Catalyst Center, ISE, and more.
