What does this mean and why is this important?

This guide provides an overview of how to activate the cloud-managed eSIM onboard MG52 and MG52E digitally via the AT&T fastactivation portal. Users signing up via the AT&T fastactivation portal receive 30-day complementary data when signing up for a rate/COM plan. MG52 and MG52E cloud-managed eSIM can also be activated by connecting to an existing control center account on the Meraki dashboard. This guide reflects how a customer would link an AT&T control center account purchased through an AT&T account executive to their Cisco Meraki dashboard. Once the accounts are linked on the Meraki dashboard, users can activate their MG52 and MG52E cloud-managed eSIMs.

Note: This cloud-managed eSIM functionality only works with AT&T control center POD 1, 310-170 IMSI. For users who are on another control center POD, they can use a physical SIM card on the MG52 and MG52E for activating an AT&T service. If a user chooses to activate a physical SIM card, then the rest of the guide is not applicable to them.

Note: Users that already have an active account on AT&T control center and wish to enable the cloud-managed eSIM on MG52 and MG52E using the existing control center account will not receive the complimentary 30-day free trial.
