Cisco Meraki Global Cloud Infrastructure
Cisco Meraki delivers its cloud-managed platform through a globally distributed and resilient infrastructure. Each Meraki region—North America, South America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, China, Canada, India, and the U.S. Federal Cloud—operates from at least two geographically paired data centers to provide redundancy, local failover, and high availability. Regional Meraki clouds enable customers to meet local regulatory requirements, reduce latency by keeping data closer to users, and align with regional compliance needs—all while using the same Meraki Dashboard experience.

Meraki Cloud Architecture
Each Meraki cloud region runs as an independent environment backed by its own set of Meraki-operated data centers and, in some cases, select public cloud locations. These collectively form the Meraki data center footprint for that region.
Within each region, Meraki employs a highly reliable multi-tenant architecture where compute resources are shared, but customer organizations remain fully isolated and secured. Access boundaries are enforced through strong authentication controls, and sensitive credentials—such as passwords and API keys—are always securely hashed.
Because our data centers are strategically distributed across the globe, each region can deliver consistent performance, meet regional data residency requirements, and maintain high availability—while operating separately from other Meraki cloud regions.
