AI Defense Management Credentials

Cisco AI Defense helps teams register and protect AI applications, apply runtime policies, monitor security events, and inspect chat or HTTP traffic for security, privacy, and safety risks. Use AI Defense Management Credentials to authenticate requests to the AI Defense Management API.

Before You Begin

Create the key in AI Defense:

  1. Select Administration.
  2. Select API Keys, and then select Create an API key.
  3. Enter a name and choose an expiration date, or select Never Expire.
  4. Create and copy the key. It cannot be viewed again after the page is closed.

Adding AI Defense Management Credentials

Complete the following steps to create a new AI Defense Management account key:

  1. In Workflows, go to Automation > Account Keys.
  2. Select New Account Key.
  3. Select AI Defense Management Credentials.
  4. Enter a display name and description.
  5. Paste only the generated key into Management API Key. Do not include a header name or prefix.
  6. Select Save.

If the key expires or is revoked, generate a replacement and update the saved account key.
