Cisco 8000 Series Secure routers (SKU’s ending with -MX) can be ordered through CCW using Co-Term or Subscription License. These SKU’s can help connect to Meraki Dashboard and operate with the all features and capabilities as the currently selling best-in-class MX SKU’s

Ordering a Cisco 8000 Secure Series for Dashboard based Management

Either of a Co-term or a Subscription License is mandatory at the time of purchase for the device to operate when connected to Dashboard

Both Network Stack licenses and Cisco DNA or Catalyst software subscription licenses are mandatory at the time of purchase and come in two licensing tier options: Advantage and Essentials. The Network Stack licenses, Network Advantage or Network Essentials is included with the hardware, while a Cisco DNA or Catalyst software subscription term license needs to be selected at the time of order.

  1. To order in the Cisco Commerce Workspace, follow these steps:
  2. If you opt for subscription license, select the appropriate Subscription license type -A or -E
  3. If you opt for co-term license, select the appropriate Subscription license type -ENT, -SEC, -SDW
  4. If you choose subscription license, then select the appropriate months (default 36-months)
  5. If you choose co-term, then select the appropriate term license (1, 3, 5 or 7 years)
  6. Add other components (for example: optics, power cables, etc) as mandated by the tool or as spares

Enter the hardware SKU in Cisco Commerce Workspace. The examples and screenshots used below follow the guided configuration (as against the expert view). You may toggle between the two views on CCW
