Software Inventory

The software inventory feature in Systems Manager provides a convenient place to review the software installed on managed devices. The inventory is updated once per day. For desktop devices the installed software is pulled from devices and pushed to Dashboard. For iOS and Android, the list of managed applications is pulled and pushed to Dashboard.

 

The inventory can be found by navigating to Monitor > Software

There are a variety of view options available for the Software Inventory. The default will to be to show all software that is installed across managed devices.

The inventory list can be filtered to view only specific device type by selecting the corresponding button.

 

To get more details pertaining to a specific piece of software simply click on the application.

Upon clicking an application details such as the software version, client information, and install date appear to the right. Included in the details is an Actions option to uninstall the application.

On Windows, software installed through .msi files can be uninstalled from the inventory. For MacOS, only software installed through .app files.

 

There is also the option to download and view the Software Inventory in CSV format. This can be found in the top right hand corner of the Software inventory page.

Last but not least is the search feature. Simply type in the software name and the inventory will return the corresponding applications. 

Ex. On the Monitor > Software page, click in the Search box and type "YouTube" to find the desired app.
