Cloud Montioring for Catalyst is transitioning to configuration source: device and all Cloud Monitoring switches must transition by March 31, 2026.

All new Catalyst switches must now be onboarded directly into configuration Source: device (17.15.3+) via the Dashboard; the onboarding application for Cloud Monitoring is no longer available.

After this date, cloud monitoring switches will gradually appear offline in the dashboard over the next few weeks, but device operations will continue without any impact.

End of Service Milestones

May 1, 2025 Starting this day, only dashboard organizations with existing Cloud Monitoring switches onboarded to Dashboard can onboard to Cloud Monitoring with the onboarding application.

Required Actions for Switches Not Migrating to Configuration Source: Device Before March 31st (Cloud Monitoring Decommission)

Switches not migrated to device configuration mode before March 31 will not have their configurations removed automatically as part of the offboarding process and will require manual cleanup of the cloud monitoring specific configuration. To avoid manual intervention, complete all steps outlined below before March 31:

  • Wait 10-15 minutes for the dashboard integration configurations to be automatically removed. This will remove any active tunnel connections to the Meraki Cloud.
