Meraki Go - Poor Connectivity to the Meraki Cloud

What does poor connectivity to the cloud mean?

Overview

asymmetry_error.png

When this alert is shown, it is due to a wrong configuration on network equipment (typically a firewall or a device performing NAT) that is supposed to let the Meraki Go hardware connect to the internet. For example, a firewall that handles an entire building may not be configured correctly to allow the Meraki Go hardware come online. If you see this error, please note there is a possible asymmetric traffic for the Meraki Go hardware, and contact your upstream network provider for assistance.

For the more technically inclined, this error is caused by Asymmetric traffic which is covered in greater depth in this Cisco article.
