Using Tags to Manage Switches

Tags make it easy to organize large numbers of switches.  For example, if you have many switches spread across multiple buildings, you might create a tag called “voice.”  Then if you want to make a change to all voice switches, you can just search for “tag:voice" and all switches with the voice tag will appear.

Creating a Tag

You can add a tag from the Switch > Monitor > Switches page by selecting one or more switches, clicking the Edit > Tag... button, and Adding the desired tags. You can also create a tag by selecting a specific switch and choosing "Edit configuration". From here, you can enter one or many tags, separating them with spaces.

On the New dashboard page, You can add a tag from the Switch > Monitor > Switches page by selecting one or more switches, clicking the Tag button, and Adding the desired tags. The selected count will reflect the switches you have selected even if they aren't currently displayed on the search or the page that is displayed. You can also create a tag by selecting a specific switch to bring up the configuration, you can enter one or many tags, separating them with spaces.
