HTTP Custom Header Authentication
HTTP authentication provides a general framework for access control and authentication in web-based applications. HTTP Custom Header authentication uses a custom header to authenticate with the target.
Use HTTP Custom Header Authentication account keys with File Operations and Web Service workflow activities and HTTP Endpoint targets.
Complete the following steps to create a new HTTP Custom Header Authentication account key:
- From the left navigation menu, click Automation > Targets.
- From the Account Keys tab, click New account key.
- On the New Account Key page, from the Account Key Type drop-down list, choose HTTP Custom Header Authentication.
- Enter a unique display name for the account key in the Display Name field and a brief description in the Description field.
- In the Credentials area, specify the following:
- Header Name - Enter a valid header name.
- Header Value - Enter a valid header value.
- Click Save.
