Meraki Go - Mass Disassociation Event
How to handle mass disassociation events when they happen on Meraki Go hardware.
Overview
A mass disassociation event is where all clients leave an access point at the same time. There are many events that could cause this alert:
- Radar detection caused a channel change, disassociating all clients. This is normal, if a 5 Ghz DFS channel was being used by the access point.
- A broadcasted de-authentication frame was sent to all clients, causing them to all disassociate at the same time.
How to Troubleshoot
This event should be rare and occur infrequently, thus not necessarily requiring troubleshooting action. However, if problems are frequent on the wireless network and this alert is persistant:
- Try rebooting the hardware.
- Try using different radio channels on all access points showing the alert.
