My Meraki Go Hardware's Light Keeps Showing Multi-Colored Lights

  1. Is this happening for an access point that you are trying to mesh? If so see My access point can’t connect via mesh

  2. Otherwise, try the following:

    1. Wait a while - it can take up to 15 minutes to upgrade the hardware, depending on the speed of your internet connection

    2. Unplug and re-plug the ethernet cable

    3. If the above steps do not work, keep the hardware plugged into power, unplug the ethernet cable and use a pin or paper clip to press down the "Restore"/ "Reset" button on the device. Make sure to hold down the button for 10-15 seconds. Then re-plug the ethernet cable.

My Access Point Cannot Connect Via Mesh

  1. Upgrading the firmware on the access point and connecting with the Meraki Go cloud takes longer through mesh compared to being directly wired. If it has taken more than 15 minutes, then try connecting access point with an ethernet data cable first until the light turns solid green or blue.

  2. Once the the light is a solid green/blue, unplug the ethernet cable from the access point and make sure the primary access point is directly wired. Now, try meshing the access point again.

  3. If the above steps did not work, keep the access point plugged into power and use a pin or paperclip to press down the “Restore” / “Reset” button on the back of the access point (near the ethernet port). Make sure to hold down the button for 10-15 seconds. Then try step #1 and #2 again.

My Access Point Light Keeps Blinking Orange

  1. This happens when the access point cannot connect to the internet. This is usually due to a poor physical connection with the cables. Check that your modem/router is plugged in correctly and that your primary access point is properly plugged into the modem/router.
